How do I use it?
Meika’s Pepper Sauce is a wonderfully fresh tasting pepper sauce. With a small amount of ingredients and the right choice of spices. Making this the perfect table sauce. You can use the spicy condiment on or in anything you choose. Highly recommended for use in sauces or dressings, combined with honeys or sugars, as a marinade, on meats, eggs, pizza, jams/jellies, etc…or simply on its own
The core function of a pepper sauce is seasoning. Yes, you will use it topically (like a hot sauce or hot chilli) but you’re really adding the garlic and spice mixtures to your food. Really enhancing and bringing the dish together in a way that makes your taste buds dance. A feeling you didn’t know you wanted and now can’t live with out.
How hot are your pepper sauces?
The scotch bonnet pepper ranks 100,000 to 350,000 SHU on the Scoville heat index. This tropical pepper is quite a hot but delicious. However, Meika’s has managed to extract all the flavor (sweet and citrus notes, tastes very similar to a habanero pepper) while maintaining the exact right amount of heat without being over bearing. Our sauces (currently) do not go over the 350,000 SHU except for the ghost pepper fushions (seasonal).
How big are the bottles?
The pepper sauces come in 3 sizes. Our smallest is 1 oz (25 mls), then 4 oz (100 mls) and finally our largest is 8 oz (200 mls).
Why does my sauce have a slightly different colour than my last one?
The scotch bonnet pepper comes in a variety of colours but retains the same exact flavour. We use certain colour combinations to maintain our signature colour but sometimes they aren't available. Thus, causing a slight variation between batches.
